The students of the Arab Culture Through Music interviewed Syrian musicians, under Dr. Iman Alramadan supervision. They learned about their experiences in the diaspora after leaving Syria due to the war. Questions were directed to understand how the war had impacted their artistic output and to learn about their living conditions, which varied greatly in the countries they sought refuge in.
