For the first 22 minutes I explore how eloquence is an argument, countering the deeply embedded prejudice that legitimate argument consists only of rational logic.  Many of our students lack affect when they give their formal speeches, because they don't think that's important.  In the next 15 minutes, I run through various schemes and tropes as examples of figuration, explaining how they work both stylistically and argumentatively.
