On behalf of the Constituent Relationship Management Team, IU leverages Sales Force as its Constituent Relationship Management, known as CRM platform. The CRM at IU does three main things: manages contacts across all campuses and apartments so that Indiana University sees those contacts as one person, identifies who these people are and what relationship they have with IU, and allows IU to track all interactions with the various constituents. If we can identify who these people are, we can provide better interaction from the university, allowing communications to come from one IU, rather than multiple departments across all of the campus locations. Using this platform, IU is able to track individuals in their role throughout their lives, starting with high school students to undergraduates, then graduate to alumni, followed by professional to donor.
