IT Community Partnerships Education Certification Program, or EdCert for short, aims to elevate the technical skillset and credentials of IU's technical staff and the IU community in general to enhance the university's expertise infrastructure.
We deliver certified, instructor-led workshops comprised of lecture and hands-on labs from vendors such as Microsoft, CompTIA, Red Hat, EC-Council and ISC2 for IU's IT professionals to acquire and validate specialized professional IT skills. The EdCert course catalog reflects industry trends and university needs, including topics on system administration, networking and security. Where possible, courses are offered each term, can accommodate special requests as well.
EdCert training also prepares participants for industry standard professional certification exams, giving IU's IT professionals better opportunities to leverage and improve their credentials. EdCert participants may also qualify for discounts on certification exam fees.
Costs for the courses vary, but are a fraction of what would be charged in the public sector. EdCert participation is available in person in our classroom in the ICTC building on IUPUI's campus, or remotely from your own work station via Zoom. To learn more and register, visit edcert.iu.edu.
