On April 16, 2015, at the invitation of Larry Singell, Executive Dean of IU’s College of Arts and Sciences, IU President Emeritus Thomas Ehrlich delivered a public lecture on the Bloomington campus: “Integrating Liberal Learning and Professional Education.” The lecture was held in conjunction with the College of Arts and Sciences’ 21st-Century Liberal Arts Education initiative.
A graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School, Ehrlich held the positions of Dean of the Stanford Law School, and Provost of the University of Pennsylvania before becoming Indiana University’s 15th president in 1987.
