This session is presented by Dr. Patrick Monahan, Ph.D., Professor of Biostatistics at the IU School of Medicine and the IU Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health at IUPUI. Dr. Monahan is also the CEO and Founder of the social enterprise, Home At Last, LLC. The presentation will describe what is a social enterprise, how they function, and how they can address health equity. Dr. Monahan shares his personal experience operating his social enterprise, Home At Last, which uses a housing construction company to address homelessness, mental illness, addiction, and prison re-entry.
