Sasha Neri (she/her) has worked at the Chicago Public Library for 25 years. She began as a library page and now serves as the Information and Innovation Commons (IIC) Manager at the Harold Washington Library Center.
She’s participated in special projects such as the development of the Design Thinking for Libraries Toolkit, the development of Maker Lab curriculum and CPL’s network of Maker Labs, and the City of Chicago’s inaugural Digital Equity Council.
She has trained over 30 library and grant-funded staff in maker lab operations and her current role involves sustainably cross-training staff across the three units of IIC: Computer Commons, Information Center, and Maker Lab.
She earned her MLIS in 2011 and a master’s in information design and strategy in 2020.
