2021 Adjunct Faculty Scholars Conference : Nature-Based Education in the Era of COVID – Cody Nygard, Bellarmine University

Offering a structured discussion on teaching nature-based classes within the limitations imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, this presentation will offer up strategies which could be helpful to other educators and will provide participants with opportunities to learn from one another. Key themes of the presentation will include socio-emotional learning through nature-based education, utilizing outdoor space efficiently, adapting lessons to unstructured environments, and creating an outdoor classroom suitable for differently-abled students.
