President and CEO of PBS Paula Kerger discusses nine years of ongoing executive experience dealing with media and communication, as well as her involvement in other organizations.
Since her start as President in 2006, Kerger has made PBS programming more accessible to Americans than ever before in public broadcasting history. Her efforts and strong commitments to the arts, education, technology, and news and public affairs has expanded the impact of PBS nationwide, keeping it the largest non-commercial organization with more than 350 stations. She has also maintained the station’s highest rated drama, Downton Abbey.
Prior to coming to PBS Ms. Kerger committed more than ten years of service at the Educational Broadcast Corporation. She also worked in administration and development for UNICEF and the Metropolitan Opera Association.
