Knowledge Management

The idea of knowledge management at IU typically brings the Knowledge Base to mind. But did you know that although it’s public and has been around for 20 years, the KB is simply one endpoint where content from the Knowledge Management System is served? Content delivery to other websites and applications is possible via API. Do you have a use case where you’d like to explore enterprise business content served in your web space? The KM team is eager to have a conversation with you!
The KMS also supports:
*Internal audiences, where content is visible to various groups based on permissions using Active Directory. Perhaps you have internal content you’d like easily available to your constituents or group, and managed over time?
*Content reuse within the system itself, allowing content pieces to be managed in one place and delivered to multiple pages
*Staging multiple versions of content for publication at various times for different events (such as service changes or retirements)
Can you think of content topics that would be helpful to you in your IT Pro role that you don’t find anywhere? Does some KB content come to mind that could be improved? The KM team is eager to talk with you about your ideas, as well as your content management needs!
