Alfred Walkes discusses entrepreneurship in the Caribbean in an interview with Kelley MBA student Jimmy Bettcher. Walkes, Lecturer in Marketing at the University of the West Indies, first provides some background on the Cave Hill School of Business and describes the marketing and entrepreneurship courses he teaches at the university. He then outlines the main characteristics of the average entrepreneur in the Caribbean and compares entrepreneurs in the United States with those in the Caribbean. Stressing the importance of understanding cultural differences, Walkes offers some advice to entrepreneurs from the United States who might be interested in starting a business in the Caribbean. *This video was recorded as a part of the Indiana University CIBER Focus Vodcast Series.
