Allison Cruise is the School of Medicine Librarian at the Claude Moore Health Sciences Library at the University of Virginia. She assists the students, faculty and staff with their research needs by assisting with systematic and literature review searching and citation management. She is integrated into the School of Medicine curriculum as an instructor in the Information Mastery thread. After working briefly as a public librarian, Allison pursued her MLIS at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, graduating December 2019. As a graduate student, she interned at a life sciences non-profit where she discovered an interest in health sciences librarianship. She participated in the National Library of Medicine’s Associate Fellowship Program from 2020-2022. Her research interests include community outreach and engagement, the environmental impact of AI, and narrative medicine.
