Kelsey Badger is an Assistant Professor and Research Data Librarian at The Ohio State University Libraries. She provides data-related education to faculty and graduate student researchers, specializing in the management, curation, and public archiving of research data. She earned her MS in Information Sciences from the University of Tennessee Knoxville and has previously supported data management in state and federal government. As a researcher, she studies the needs of data producers and users, advocates for public access to data, and collaborates with community partners to strengthen ecosystems for civic data. She is interested in the culture and practices of data management both within and outside the academy, especially the curation of government administrative data.
