This workshop introduces IU faculty, staff, and students to High Performance Computing (HPC) and the resources UITS Research Technologies (RT) makes available to them at IU to empower their research.

This hands-on course will cover the basics of using IU’s supercomputing systems, from logging-in to job creation and submission, as well as Research Desktop (RED).

RED is a graphical desktop service for users with accounts on the Quartz research supercomputer at Indiana University. RED is designed for users who are unaccustomed to working in Unix-like command-line environments. RED helps reduce the learning curve for users with little or no command-line experience and, as a result, promotes broader
