Currently, as a (full) professor of business at Indiana Univ-Columbus, Larita teaches financial accounting, intermediate accounting, and governmental and nonprofit accounting. Her research interests are special district governments and accounting pedagogy.
Larita "grew up" on a farm in northern Indiana. Her first career was with the US Dept of Defense, where she spent nearly 31 years and retired as a financial analyst (civilian). Larita also served in the US Coast Guard Reserve.
She has BS is from Univ of Colorado and a MS and Ed.D. are from Stanford Univ. Larita is a CPA, Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), and a Fulbright Specialist in business.
