We all know how important experiential learning is in the career development process, but we do not always emphasize to our students the importance of reflecting on those experiences. This workshop will explore what reflecting is, why it is so important to the career development and exploration process, and how to teach your students about the power of reflection. We will also consider how changes during the pandemic have affected how students reflect. Additionally, we will look at and do some reflection activities that you can use with students to help them make the most of their experiences and to leverage the knowledge that they gain through those experiences so they can make informed decisions about the next best steps in their career journey. Participants will leave the workshop with some practical tools they can use in reflection conversations with their students.
