Presenter Details Jarod Bailey, IUPUI/Purdue School of Science Alumni and current Physical Scientist at the United States Environmental Protection Agency, is hosting a workshop on how to apply for jobs in the federal government using the government’s job posting site, USAJobs. Jarod has been with the EPA for over a year and a half after graduating with his Master’s degree from North Carolina State University in Climate Change and Social Science.
Jarod’s work at the US EPA includes working across multiple groups to effectively communicate new public policies to the public, as well as briefing the EPA Administrator on upcoming rules and regulations that come from his division. Prior to his current role, Jarod was a student intern in the Office of Research and Development where, he worked in a toxicology lab studying the effects of environmental chemicals/contaminants on the thyroid system. Jarod has contributed to 2 peer-reviewed research articles, with 2 more publications in the works. Outside of work, Jarod enjoys golfing and anything Formula One related.
