This presentation will cover how the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) helped cut teen pregnancy and abortion rates in half. The CDPHE has been a grantee of Federal Title X funds since 1970 and contracts with local agencies to provide family planning services throughout Colorado. Private funding from 2008-2016 allowed the health department to expand access to family planning services and lower barriers to long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARC).  Access to long-acting reversible contraceptives in Colorado has improved family planning outcomes and averted costs for state agencies serving families with low-income.
