Dr. Karla Galaviz presenting “Integrating HIV and Cardiovascular care in South Africa.” Dr. Galaviz is assistant professor in the Department of Applied Health Science at Indiana University School of Public Health-Bloomington. She is an implementation scientist working to integrate the prevention and care of chronic conditions such as HIV, diabetes and cardiovascular disease. In this seminar, she will talk about her work in South Africa, which focuses on designing and testing an implementation strategy to improve hypertension detection and treatment in HIV clinics in Johannesburg.
