CDPI Featured Speaker: Work + Learn Indiana: Your Internship Is (Not) Cancelled: How Employers, Educators, and Students Thrived During a Pandemic

It probably goes without saying that 2020 was unlike any other in the realm of college internships. Weeks before summer internships were to begin, the governor’s stay-at-home order and ensuing public health measures stopped us all in our tracks. Over a year later, we have adapted to the world of social distancing, mask-to-mask interactions, and virtual work. Work and Learn Indiana kept a pulse on the Indiana employer community through the use of surveys and virtual meetups to learn recruitment intentions, gather best practices, and share expertise on how to provide high-quality internships during a pandemic.

During this featured speaker session, we will share what we learned from our employers, students, and educators, share insights on the future of internships and virtual work after the pandemic ends (which it will), and also share how Indiana INTERNnet has evolved into Work and Learn Indiana, how the evolution will better support your students and your work.
