This is a performance by Archie Krout playing at the Indiana State Fair Fiddle Contest in 2014. Archie won the old-time prize for his rustic style of Indiana fiddling. Sorry about the shakiness of the camera and the audio quality, but I was trying to capture it on-the-fly. Hopeful it is good enough for you to get a taste of his music. Archie learned to play from his father on a cigar-box fiddle, and he continues to play in Crawfordsville, Indiana. A World War II veteran, he was honored with a standing ovation for his service. When he received his award, he was moved to tears.
