AMPATH Global and the AMPATH Kenya Research Program were excited to host a Universal Health Coverage meeting on Friday, October 7 in Indianapolis. The meeting was an opportunity to learn about universal health coverage (UHC) efforts and how AMPATH can work with partners to advance UHC in the countries where we work and across the globe. A keynote address was given by Dr. Tim Evans, the inaugural director and associate dean of the School of Population and Global Health at McGill University. Dr. Evans has been at the forefront of advancing global health equity and strengthening health systems delivery for more than 20 years. After the keynote and brief Q&A, leads from the AMPATH partnerships in Kenya, Ghana, Mexico and Nepal gave short presentations on UHC in their country contexts and proposed opportunities for collaboration across AMPATH partners.
