Members of the IUPUI community come together to break ground on the long-awaited 45,000-square-foot clinical building expansion at Indiana University School of Dentistry.
This new facility will house 125 state-of-the-art operatories on three floors, with spacious patient registration and waiting areas. The architectural design blends contemporary glass and steel with the historic limestone façade of the original Michigan Street building. An enclosed courtyard will connect all four of the dental school’s buildings on the ground level, and a suspended glass walkway will allow passage between the buildings’ upper floors. Construction is expected to be completed in December of 2017.
