Zoeanna Mayhook, MLIS, MBA

Zoeanna “Zoe” Mayhook is an Assistant Professor and Business Information Specialist at the Purdue Libraries and School of Information Studies. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration and her MBA from Gonzaga University, and her MLIS from the University of Washington.
During her time at Gonzaga University, Zoe worked as a student worker and library technician, handling various service points such as reference, circulation, and periodicals. After completing her MBA, she transitioned to a role in legal investigation and research at Friedman Rubin Law Firm, a civil litigation firm in Bremerton, WA. This experience reinforced her passion for libraries and research, motivating her to pursue an MLIS.
Zoe’s diverse background in libraries, business, and legal research led her to her current position at Purdue University. Here, she supports students and faculty in business research and instruction on topics like business law, market research, and economics.
Her research interests include business information literacy, financial literacy, algorithmic literacy, and visual literacy. These interests shape her strategies for addressing student needs in her teaching.
