A solution to a fractional order semilinear equation using variational method

Dr You received his Ph.D. at Purdue University.  He has been at Indiana University East since 2011.  As an administrator, from fall 2014 to Summer 2019, he has served as the coordinator or chair of the Mathematics department. Over those years, he increased the enrollment of the math department triple times (more than 300 students enrollment).  

As a teacher, he has taught courses ranging from college algebra to graduate level mathematics.  Especially, as an expert in online education, he has developed many online courses such as Calculus I, II, III, and IV, Differential Equation, Linear Algebra, Mathematical Modeling I and II, Numerical Analysis etc.   

As an active researcher, he has published papers in peer reviewed journals and published some book chapters in the areas of several complex variables, Partial Differential Equation, Optics, and Scholarship of teaching and learning. Currently he is broadening his area of interests into mathematical finances, stochastic process, and data science including machine learning and deep learning.  In particular, he has been doing research with undergraduate students in the areas of math finance using data science.
