CIBER Focus: "Soapy Soap Company: Promoting Pure Ingredients and Local Entrepreneurship" with Mohammed A. Mahdi - October 5, 2015

Soapy Soap Company is a locally-owned and operated business in Bloomington, Indiana, known for their organic-certified, animal-friendly, and 100% halal cleaning and beauty products. The project started out as three young, college-aged friends wanted to save money and make their own soaps. Soon after, with more than enough home-made sabuns (soap in Urdu/Hindi) and new-found passion for entrepreneurship, they established the company in 2011. While none of them have the typical college major (i.e., business, economics, finance, etc.) to "trigger" one to start his/her own business, Sales Director and Co-founder Mohammed A. Mahdi shares his team's strong work ethic, diverse mindset, creativity, and commitment to quality, have made their company and goods much more fun and interesting!
