We are pleased to welcome Sula Hood, PhD, MPH, Assistant Professor in the Social and Behavioral Sciences department at the Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health. Dr. Hood will describe how “efforts to eliminate health disparities in ethnic minority populations must be influenced by cultural values and practices.” The African American family reunion possesses a variety of strengths that supports its potential for delivering effective and sustainable health promotion efforts.
