Abstract: 

Six Sigma, Accounting, and Analytics Initiatives. 

The sabbatical presentation will discuss Dr. Jance’s work with MSI Express to help improve efficiencies, her analytics and accounting papers, and earning her ASQ CSSBB certification.

Biography: 

Dr. Jance is an Associate Professor of Analytics in the School of Business and Economics at Indiana University East.   Dr. Jance teaches statistics, analytics, and Excel-based courses. She is an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and an INFORMS Certified Analytics Professional.  Dr. Jance’s research interests include using analytics in accounting, developing case studies to be used for student learning and assessment purposes, and using Lean Six Sigma and analytics techniques to solve industry problems and to improve process efficiencies.
