A Two-Year Journey to Increase Student Success in a Large-Lecture STEM Course
In this presentation, I will outline work that started when I was presented with startling data on inequities in my own course (Organic Chemistry 2) in the Fall of 2018. I took this initial informational session as a call to action, and spent time working to better understand the problems and to identify appropriate interventions to address them. I will end the presentation with outcomes from that same course, after implementing interventions, in the Fall of 2020.
