This session will discuss pedagogical strategies used with a learning a management system (LMS) and Microsoft TEAMs platforms to effectively engage with students in an online or combined online and in-person (HyFlex) setting. Dr. Poston will discuss the technological aspect and general applications of the LMS and Microsoft TEAMs for virtual classroom instruction and will focus on how an instructor can lay the groundwork for synchronous Teams sessions in the asynchronous world of the LMS and the implications this will have for engagement. She will also discuss the importance of working with the faculty to ensure they have equipment that will facilitate the Teams sessions as well as common issues with the HyFlex delivery model and how those can be addressed and overcome.
